Security scanners and audits for vibe-coded apps compared (2026)

Pick by how you work. Want a free look right now? Try AmIHackable (free while it rebuilds) or the free first scan from Vibe App Scanner. Want continuous, automated testing that goes deeper, including logged-in areas? VibeEval or a VAS subscription. Want senior engineers reading your code? VibeAudits. Want one plain-English, human-reviewed report with fix prompts and no subscription? Milo's Launch Check. All facts as of 17 October 2026, from each vendor's own pages.

We make Milo's Launch Check, so read this with that in mind. We only included tools whose claims we could check on their own websites, as of 17 October 2026, and we link every source. We also looked at VibeCheck by notelon.ai, but its site returned "gone" (HTTP 410) when we checked, so we left it out. Prices change, so confirm on each site. Corrections are welcome: hello@milokits.com.

Vibe App Scanner

An automated scanner for apps built with Bolt, Lovable, Replit and v0, run against your public URL. VAS lists exposed keys in JavaScript bundles, missing Supabase RLS, Firebase rules, weak password policies, missing security headers, authentication issues and source maps among its checks. Its Pro plan adds weekly deep scans that log in and test authenticated access, plus breach and email-security monitoring. There's a remote MCP server so coding agents can start scans and read reports. The first scan is free but shows only one finding in detail. See our detailed Milo vs VAS comparison. (pricing)

VibeEval

VibeEval goes further than passive tools. Its agents actively probe your live app (it describes 310+ probes and cross-account access checks), with initial triage in under 60 seconds and a deeper scan in 3–8 minutes. It says a security engineer reproduces findings before delivery, and it runs read-only probes by default, with destructive testing only on explicit opt-in. Plans include daily re-scans and MCP and webhook integrations. It also offers a free surface scan and sells scoped human pentests with a signed report, from $2,900. Better than us if you want active, repeatable testing, including whether one user can see another's data, which our passive check can't do. (plans and limits)

AmIHackable

A free, read-only scan of what any visitor's browser can see, with a fix prompt for Cursor, Bolt, Lovable or v0 for each problem. It reports ten areas, including your users' data exposed to the browser, secrets in your JavaScript, files left online, outdated libraries, connection security and email spoofing, and marks each one as checked, problem or not checked. Deeper database tests run only after you prove you own the domain with a DNS record. The scan and full report are free while V2 is built, and paid continuous monitoring is planned. Better than us if you want an instant, free result and a TLS/certificate or email-spoofing check, which we don't currently cover.

VibeAudits

A human service rather than a scanner, working from your code. Mentor ($29/month) gives you questions answered and pull-request reviews, with read-only access to your repo. Partner (from $1,000) is a fixed-scope security and code audit with a written report and verified fixes, and they can take the app to launch with you. Better than us if you want someone to read your code, logic and payment flows. We only look at the public side and never see your code.

Milo's Launch Check

What we do: a passive, consent-only check of the public side of your live app, covering keys in the bundle, readable Supabase or Firebase data, exposed files and admin routes, headers, cookies and CORS. AI assists the analysis, a human reviews and signs off every paid report, and you get it within 24 hours (48 at most, or it's free). Every finding comes with a copy-paste prompt for your AI coder. What we don't do: log in, actively attack, read your code, or scan continuously. See plans or a sample report.

FAQ

What's the best free security scanner for a vibe-coded app?

For a free first look, AmIHackable (free while it rebuilds) and Vibe App Scanner's free first scan both check your live app from the outside. Supabase's Security Advisor and MDN HTTP Observatory are also free. Milo Kits offers a free mini-check by email (as of 17 October 2026).

Do these scanners replace a penetration test?

No. Automated scanners and passive checks catch common mistakes. A penetration test is a scoped, expert-led engagement that actively tries to break in, and some vendors, such as VibeEval, sell both.

Which tools test logged-in areas?

From the vendors' own pages (as of 17 October 2026): Vibe App Scanner's Pro plan includes deep scans that log in, and VibeEval tests authenticated access and cross-account access. Milo's Launch Check and AmIHackable's free scan stay on the public side.

Why isn't VibeCheck by notelon.ai included?

Its website returned HTTP 410 (gone) when we checked on 17 October 2026, so we couldn't verify its current features or prices.
