Milo's Launch Check vs Vibe App Scanner: an honest comparison

Different models for different needs. Vibe App Scanner (VAS) is an automated scanner you run yourself, as often as you like, on a monthly subscription, with a free first scan. Milo's Launch Check is a one-off, human-reviewed report in plain English with a fix prompt for every finding, from $29, plus an optional $19/month Monthly Watch. Choose VAS if you want to scan on demand many times a month, test logged-in areas, or plug a scanner into your coding agent. Choose Milo if you want one clear report a person has checked, no subscription, or a signed report to share. (VAS facts as of 17 October 2026, from its own site.)

We make Milo's Launch Check, so we're biased. That's why every VAS fact below comes from VAS's own pages, with links, as of 17 October 2026. Prices and features change, so check their site before you decide. If anything here is out of date, email hello@milokits.com and we'll fix it.

When Vibe App Scanner is the better choice

When Milo's Launch Check is the better choice

Can you use both?

Yes, and that's often sensible. Use an automated scanner to catch regressions as you ship, and a written, reviewed report before a launch, a raise or a client handover. Neither replaces a professional penetration test once you handle sensitive data or someone asks for one.

FAQ

Is Vibe App Scanner free?

VAS offers a free first scan that runs its full check suite and shows your score, issue counts and one finding in detail. Seeing every finding needs a paid plan. Its pricing page listed Go at $19/month and Pro at $39/month (as of 17 October 2026).

Does Milo's Launch Check test logged-in pages?

No. It's a passive check of the public side of your app. Deep Check reviews sign-in and payment flows from the outside, and you can optionally share Supabase policies or Firebase rules for review. If you need authenticated testing, an automated scanner with logged-in scans, or a professional pentest, is a better fit.

Which is cheaper?

It depends on how you use it. For one check, Milo's Quick Check is $29 once. If you want to scan on demand every month, a scanner subscription like VAS Go may cost less per scan. Milo's Monthly Watch is $19/month per app for one re-check every 30 days.

Is either one a penetration test?

No. Both are automated or passive checks. A penetration test is an expert-led, scoped engagement that actively tries to break in, usually costing thousands of dollars.
